Kaitlin Trimble is a Los Angeles based lighting designer with experience and interest across multiple platforms. She is interested in being a part of collaborative efforts towards new works and projects that challenge a unique sense of composition and narrative driven design. Her lighting design for theater, opera, dance, and architecture constantly remind her of the ability to illuminate the unique inner workings of each story and paint a lightscape rich with intricate atmosphere that underscores character, emotion, and form. Kaitlin is a part of the 2024 graduating MFA at UCLA, studying Lighting Design. Prior to, she earned her B.A. in Technical Theater from Long Beach State University. She is excited for Ipsa Dixit to be her debut design with Long Beach Opera. Previously, she has worked with the Geffen Playhouse, Mark Taper Forum, Long Beach Playhouse, Music Academy of the West, NYLA Dance, and Cal Rep.
