Kathryn Shuman is an LA based versatile soprano, improviser, and composer.  Shuman’s ecology-inspired, electroacoustic music has been featured in film, and performance-- in concert halls, reverberant canyons, basement venues, and festivals. Kathryn’s composition has been featured in film, and commissioned by Splice, Wild Up orchestra and Luminex 2.0. She performs actively in solo and ensemble settings. As a fan of recording arts, she regularly sings on film & tv (including Wicked, Mulan, House of Ninjas) and with artists including Vampire Weekend, Jennifer Hudson, Louis Cole, KNOWER, and Father John Misty.
