Theodosia Roussos is a Greek Cypriot American Composer, Improviser, Soprano, and Oboe/English Horn player.

THEODOSIA ROUSSOS Bio

Theodosia Roussos is an oboist, English horn player, soprano, composer, and improviser based in Los Angeles. This is her debut collaboration with Long Beach Opera. She is an avid performer/composer and has enjoyed collaborating with Ojai Festival, WildUp, Beth Morrison Projects, The Industry, Bang on a Can All Stars, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Four Larks, among others. She has scored films including Lilies Not For Me, Fresh Kills, Being Mary Tyler Moore and scored Naomi Osaka alongside Devonte Hynes, and can be heard on Emile Mosseri’s scores for The Last Black Man in San Francisco, and Kajillionaire. Theodosia’s opera Polymnia premiered in 2023 with the support of the UCLA Stavros Niarchos Center for the Study of Hellenic Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Theodosia has enjoyed guest lecturing at USC, UCLA, Cal Arts, Oberlin, Bowling Green, and was the Emory Arts Fellow for 2023-24.
