This year's Gala Honorees: Longtime LBO Subscribers

Dear Friends,

I was recently at a special event, and the list of honorees were all people I had seen honored at other events — politicians, philanthropists — all people whose dedication to the community is certainly worth celebrating.

🌟 Special Events - who should get special acknowledgement?

But I thought to myself: wouldn't it be nice if some of the people whose ongoing, regular commitment to the arts got some credit for all they do to make sure the performing arts remains vibrant in their community? LBO's longtime subscribers immediately came to mind.

🖥️ Introducing Our New Customer Portal

Soon after this experience, we were at the office working on an exciting project; a migration to a new database and customer portal. This platform, launching next month, will revolutionize your ticket and subscription experience, making it easier and more organized for you. Meanwhile, the system will also allow LBO staff much greater efficiency. It's a win-win!

💪 Honor and Sustain

While migrating our data, we discovered something amazing. Many subscribers have been with us since 2009. And that's when it hit me — we need to HONOR them! These adventurers joined us in parking structures, swimming pools, museums, and more, shaping LBO's innovative art-making.

🥂 It's a Gala, It's a Party!

GALA 1979 is not your typical gala. Your support through ticket sales and sponsorships will help us throw an unforgettable party, hosted by James Darrah and featuring the incredible Measha Brueggergosman-Lee. No, this "Gala" will be a performance and a party and will celebrate dozens of honorees who have made LBO what we are today. Join us in celebrating the heart of LBO. Don't worry — nobody will have to get up and give a speech.

🎉 Longtime Subscribers, You're the Stars!

If you've subscribed since 2010 or earlier, we're honoring you. Check your messages! You should have already received a message from us letting you know we are honoring you and asking for you to join us. Everyone is also welcome: come and revel in a world-class performance, dinner, wine, and dancing. Let's cherish LBO's legacy, and our loyal subscribers, who've made us the longest-running opera organization in LA County.

🎟️ Seats Are Limited — Act Fast

We're selling only 130 seats — be up close to the mesmerizing performance. Don't miss out, our recent performances of THE FEAST completely sold out. Get your tickets now.

See you on November 12th, 6:30 PM at L'Opera!

Warmly,
